Sufian Ahmed, a Wales -born artist of Pakistani descent, channels his heritage through his art, primarily focusing on urban landscapes and the people and life within them. Working predominantly with watercolours and ink, Sufian’s work is deeply rooted in the rich tradition of South Asian miniature watercolor paintings, reminiscent of the Mughal era in India during the 16th century. Through his art, Sufian aims to carry on and celebrate this cultural heritage in a contemporary context.
